The main components of the garment steamer are the inner core (steam generator), the fuselage shell, the steam nozzle, the steam duct, the bracket, the accessories, etc.
The steam generator is the "heart" of the steamer. The different heater materials, there are mainly aluminum alloy heaters, pure copper heaters, copper plastic heaters, and zinc alloy heaters.
Aluminum alloy heaters are better than one-time forming without cracks, with small thermal efficiency loss, good energy storage effect, fast heat conduction, uniform steam, and long service life, which can reach more than 8 years. And the surface is not easy to accumulate scale, which can effectively prevent the formation of scale, low carbon, and environmental protection. The advantages of pure copper heaters are their long service life, which can reach more than 8 years, fast heat conduction, and uniform steam. The disadvantage is that the processing technology is complex, the cost is high, and the price is high. The surface is not easy to clean scale. The advantages of copper plastic heaters and zinc alloy heaters are low cost and low price. The disadvantages are short service life, slow heat conduction, and uneven steam.
The shell of the garment steamer mainly includes ABS shell and polystyrene. The engineering plastic shell has the advantages of good gloss, easy processing, corrosion resistance, high strength, light weight, no discoloration, and less deformation. Polystyrene shell has the advantages of light weight, good toughness, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature resistance.
Garment steamer nozzles generally use ABS structures with stainless steel panels, Teflon panels, ceramic panels, plastic panels, etc.
The advantage of the stainless steel panel is that the panel is not easily deformed, is durable, and can achieve the best ironing effect. The soleplate is smooth and wear-resistant, and the ironing is smooth. The metal is bright, the texture is strong, and the cost is high.
Teflon panels and ceramic panels have the advantages of high temperature resistance, smoothness and non-stickiness. And scratch-resistant, durable, blocking steam and acid and alkali corrosion, and easy to clean. But the process is relatively complex and the cost is high. Plastic panels are the most practical and inexpensive.
There are mainly two types of steam conduits: fiber braided hose and corrugated hose (with silicone tube inside). The fiber braided hose is anti-scalding. The advantages of high-temperature resistance and uniform steam are generally used for garment steamers with small steam pressure. The corrugated hose (with silicone tube inside) has the advantages of high-temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, etc. Generally, the corrugated hose is used for the steamer with high steam pressure.
Brackets are divided into bimetallic rods, single gold rods, and non-retractable brackets. The bimetal rod has the advantages of convenient storage, strong three-dimensional effect, good stability, and no need for a hanger. The disadvantage is that the cost is high. The single metal rod has the advantages of convenient storage and small size. The disadvantage is poor stability. Huang wants a hanger. The non-retractable bracket has the advantage of being cheap, but it has disadvantages such as cumbersome assembly and difficult height adjustment.
